Cesens is an agro-climatic information system to support decision making in agriculture.
The main goal of Cesens is to overcome current problems in agriculture derived from the lack of precise agro-climatic information for decision-making, which usually leads to unnecessary use of pesticides and water.
HOW IT WORKS
Cesens is an information system based on agro-climatic stations located at the different crops which gather data such as soil and air temperature and humidity, air pressure, solar radiation or leaf moisture levels. These data are sent in real time to a cloud platform where they are processed to provide agronomists with insightful information to make the most accurate decisions for each crop. Users can access historical data or customized statistics using any web browser. Moreover, Cesens allows configuring alerts, which are sent to users in case parameters exceed established thresholds. This is extremely useful to detect when there are risks for infections or plagues.
