According to initial studies by the Nitrocon Task Force, the reduction of nitrogen fertilisers has no impact on the quality and quantity of the feed produced.
\nNitrocon aims to develop new fertilisation and irrigation methodologies and protocols to optimise the quality and yield in a sustainable way of crops in rotation of peas, green beans, sugar beet, rapeseed and cereals in La Rioja Alta, an area classified as vulnerable to nitrate contamination.
